About the role
Australian Food & Fibre is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team at Cobran Farm. This is a hands-on role. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant machinery and irrigation infrastructure, playing a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our operations.
You will work closely with the team to minimise downtime, support productivity, and maintain a safe working environment across the farm. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background, who thrives in a fast-paced, practical environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Ensuring all work is performed in line with WH&S requirements and industry best practices.
Assist with the supervision of workshop projects and support team members as needed.

About you
We're looking for a practical, proactive and detail oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and has a passion for mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work independently or as part of a team, who takes pride in getting things done safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate should also possess the following attributes:
Relevant trade qualification in Mechanics (or similar).
A strong understanding of mechanical and workshop operations.
A strong safety focus and commitment to WH&S standards.
High attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Willingness to obtain additional licences and certifications as required.
