Job Description

About the job 

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated and detail-oriented Export Documentation Officer to join our team on a full-time, six month fixed-term basis. The role will revolve around your technical ability to prepare documentation, ensure all conditions of contracts are adhered to, drive and manage our system, as well as understanding documentation protocol.  You will add value and depth from a structural perspective, working with the existing team from a reporting and operations perspective. Your ideas and opinions will be heard and valued.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you 

You are an experienced Export Documentation Officer with proven experience in a similar role. You possess the ability to work precisely and accurately with highly detailed information, working not only autonomously but cooperating with others across the business, focusing on common objectives.

You have the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, shipping providers, governing bodies, and both internal and external stakeholders. In addition to this, you have experience in preparing and managing all necessary export documentation, including invoices, phytosanitary certificates, packing lists, certificates of origin, insurance certificates, and other required paperwork. You are skilled in liaising with third-party providers to ensure all documentation is accurate and submitted on time, as well as coordinating with regulatory bodies such as DAFF to ensure compliance with eligibility requirements and export regulations.

Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to maintain up-to-date electronic filing systems and keep all documents properly organised. As part of a small, growing team, flexibility and a willingness to cross-train in various roles are important. Experience with Letters of Credit (LCs) and Sight Drafts is highly beneficial, especially in the context of international trade.
