About the role
Our operations are located across New South Wales and have been built on significant industry knowledge, experience and skill. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Leading Farm Hand to join our operations at Cockatoo Farm.
Cockatoo is situated just south of Garah, approximately 40 minutes from the township of Moree, NSW.

General responsibilities for this role will include preparing fields, planting cotton, controlling weeds and insects, irrigating, applying fertiliser, and harvesting cotton. As leading Farm Hand, you will also provide recommendations and take direction from the Farm Manager to execute farm strategy and undertake day to day tasks and priorities while complying with WHS legislation requirements.
We take our responsibility for maintaining a safety culture very seriously, actively ensuring awareness of safety to ‘keep people safe’ in all aspects of our operations.
About you
AFF is looking to provide you with the skills, training and mentorship to enable you to learn and grow in the role. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on a farm and possess the ability to work individually or in a group to achieve set tasks. You will also bring along a positive attitude and a willingness to learn to experience the diversity of working on a farm.
Permanent Australian working rights are essential in this role.
