Australian Food & Fibre is searching for a proactive and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician, for a position at our Midkin Gin, located approximately 15kms north of Moree, NSW.
As Apprentice Electrician, you will assist qualified electricians with a variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks, gaining hands-on experience in working with electrical systems and equipment essential to the cotton ginning process. This will include learning to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics, PLC's and automation works.
Additionally, you will complete all required theoretical and practical training as part of your apprenticeship, ensuring adherence to all relevant safety standards and procedures. Other tasks may be assigned as required, providing valuable support to your team.
This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis.

About you
You are a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a strong interest and aptitude for the electrical trade. With excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, you are eager to learn and take on new challenges. You thrive in both independent and team-based environments, consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
You are committed to completing your apprenticeship and obtaining your electrical licence, and you are flexible with working overtime or weekends as required. You will also need to hold a minimum P1 driver's licence.
A good understanding of mathematics and basic to intermediate computer skills, with a focus on the Microsoft Office suite, are essential. Previous experience in a hands-on role or relevant courses, such as small engines, as well as an interest in agriculture and cotton ginning would be highly advantageous.
