About the role

We are seeking a WHS Coordinator - West to join the AFF team. This role supports the WHS Manager in driving a strong "safety first" culture across AFF's Western operations

As WHS Coordinator, you will take ownership of coordinating and maintaining WHS systems, policies and processes, ensuring they meet both legislative requirements and AFF's internal standards. You will work closely with managers, employees and contractors to foster safe work practices, deliver training and support incident investigations and audits.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and embedding AFF's safety-first culture across allocated sites.
  • Supporting the implementation of WHS strategies, policies and procedures.
  • Conducting inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Assisting with WHS inductions, training and compliance record keeping.
  • Providing advice and guidance on WHS matters to managers and staff.
  • Leading or assisting in incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Supporting health, wellbeing and injury management initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You are a proactive and detail-oriented safety professional with the ability to influence behaviour and foster a strong safety culture, you enjoy engaging with people at all levels of the business and can balance day-to-day WHS compliance tasks with contributing to longer-term improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and management systems.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with WHS reporting, auditing and compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting or leading incident investigations.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
  • WHS experience in agriculture, logistics or a related industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or willingness to obtain.
